NOFX albums have always started out badly for me, and I've always been convinced that this was going to be the first really shit record since Punk in Drublic. "Linoleum" and "It's My Job to Keep Punk Rock Elite" I never really liked; though both grew on me. "And Now for Something Completely Similar" was annoying, partly because it mentioned "Linoleum," though not so much so as that sample at the beginning of "The War on Errorism," but, fuck, both were over and done with pretty quick. And, following that pattern, "60%"is a pretty bad song that's becoming more tolerable with each listen.
And, a week's worth of listening usually has convinced me that the songs on Wolves in Wolves' Clothing are as good as anything else that NOFX have released.

NOFX are one of the few "new school" or, to the new schoolers, "new skool" punk bands that I like. The reason for this is that they, NOFX, consistently (well, after Punk in Drublic anyway) make excellent, amazingly literate punk rock records.
The first single off the album was ‘Franco Un-American.' It's a new-wavy song reminiscent of ‘Quart in Session' from So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes, and it's an excellent choice for a first single because it sounds so very catchy. I'm sure that having a catchy first single is going to trigger hundreds of idiot-kids around the world to start labelling NOFX a sell-out.

If I'm at a concert, there is a good chance that Jimmy Weasel (of Wax fame) and Compadre (of no fame) will also be in attendance.
Usually when gigs finish, we (mostly Compadre and I) dissect every aspect of both the gig and what it meant to us. However, after DJ Shadow there was no such dissection.
