Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste 1987-1991 is a comprehensive double DVD set that aims to bring together all of Galaxie 500's recorded footage.

The first disc collects the four music videos – all directed by Sergio Huidor. These are all pretty similar in that they juxtapose the rather quiet, reflective music of Galaxie 500 against some very violent images. The video clips are actually very clever and certainly very arty.

Galaxie 500 - The Portable Galaxie 500

The Portable Galaxie 500 is an excellent introduction to this enormously talented yet criminally underrated band of the late 80s – a band whose minimalist, textured sounds has influenced countless others since.

Included are a handful of tracks taken from the three studio albums that Galaxie 500 released coupled with one track each from a live album and a rarities album. The CD also comes with a multimedia clip of “Blue Thunder.”
