Gleaming out the second spot to complete the lead half-pack of the Cartel of Miss, 18-year-old Tatána Kucharová from the Czech Republic was crowned the glory in the 56th annual Miss World cage match.
Fending and fighting against an array of 104 other contestants and claimants to the title, the crowning event fell upon the city of Sala Kongresowa in Warsaw. An action packed ritual of skin wherein the final 16 turned 17 as judges were incapable of splitting out the Asia Pacific group for the semis.
Flying out steadfast and lifting the diamond crown from Miss World 2005, Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir, Kucharová is flanked by 17-year-old, Ioana Valentina Boitor from Romania and 20-year-old Sabrina Houssami from Australia, as her first and second on-call hands respectively.
Houssami faced heat with her selection for the final finals going through on default after the cancellation of local pageant rounds. No such scandal of opinion on Boitor's neck.
The galaxy awaits now for this year's appointment of Miss Earth and Miss International.
