Two ghosts sit at a bar, each with their own drink. The only sign of their existence is that the volume in their glasses gradually gets smaller and smaller.
The first ghost speaks:
“He was hired to test doorknobs; he would be given a series of addresses and he would have to go to each door to see if they had been accidentally left unlocked. If a door was unlocked he was to inform his superiors and leave the area immediately.
“His superiors would subsequently dispatch a second unit whose job it was to slash the throats and drink the blood of all within and make it look like an accident.
“It was a government job, naturally.”
The second ghost speaks:
“A lonely Tetris piece falls, finding a space in a gap in a line of similarly lonely Tetris pieces. As soon as it finds its place, however, as soon as it fills that gap, the line it completes feels compelled to disappear. These are the colours we travel.
“Are we here now? Where is everybody?”
