Preempting the hard and soft rock strike of the rescue efforts of the two entombed Beaconsfield miners, journalist Richard Carlton died in the air of death and egg sandwiches.
Collapsing at a live press conference, Carlton beat out the rescue efforts and fell victim to another heart attack, so prone and heavy of his life. This attack, however, proved fatal to his state and fodder for the throng.

Down the lake with the putrid stench of marketing gone loose, US import show, Prison Break faces a more than accepting convergence of awareness. Parting cheeks wet with soapy water and a room full of criminals, the landscape for Australian television hype continues to reach deeper levels.
Last Thursday, with the movement of changing guards, Todd Ellis and Todd John Carr made leave of Silverwater gaol. Holding up work permits, like Jedi waving away Storm troopers, or Time Lords with wallets clasping papers dipped in telepathic ink, the pair suffered no troubles strolling back into society.

Schapelle Corby, running faster and going nowhere even quicker with her hair dressing career, is still locked in a Bali hole. Sentenced to 20 years, her chances of staying relevant against other recent drug smacking mules, abusers and stool users took a severe hit on the weekend.
Beating out the other contestants, convicted ecstasy junkie, Michelle Leslie, finds the exit to the Bali courts and gaols. Convicted as a drug user and sentenced to three months, the model's time already served showed the Australian the door as certain periods of expiration necessitated such moves. Expected to have hit the shores some time earlier in the day, the model has gone gopher on her return to Australia.

The Joe and Maria Korp press machine rolls and polls more and more in time that passes. Up for a posthumous blitz, the week prior saw Joe Korp slash his own life shortly after the funeral of his clinically dead and buried wife, Maria.
Taking time to reflect on the crime, Supreme Court judge Justice Philip Mandie, noted his decision to excise Joe from Maria's will was based on the moral responsibility of causing Maria's demise in the first place. That and with Joe no longer being able to collect, a circular loop was exacted.

Waiting less than a full month, bombers once again brought their shrapnel and terror defied to the citizens and streets of London. Blowing out a few fuses, the few strands of credibility dissipated as the runner up explosions caught themselves near naked under a steaming broth of chicken soup and international pressure.
Capitalising on the recent glare and focus spike billowing from the bombings of July 7, the latest spate of scatterings were prematurely rushed into production. With no real production timetable or chance to accurately gauge audience reaction to the initial run, the bombers were running blind into the storm. Desperate to take advantage of the already present production crews standing in place on the wave of the earlier incidents.

Mere days have passed since the release of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, slamming its bulk of pages on shelves across the well-to-do nations and islands of the world. Leading up to the break, rife speculation on the identity of the characters to be cast down into the hoary depths of death. At least in literary terms.
With the healthy fan base installed at the roots of the release, the confirmation from Rowling on the execution only served the rampant expectation for the sale. A ravishing lust for the tender breaking of the spine with that first day's harried consumption. Death or no death, it was always going to sell millions upon milions of copies.
