Numbers easily boosted by an actual advertising campaign exercising the event as a community outing. Unlike that of the sore washout of the previous night's quietly announced spectacle that was the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Spurred on by recent calls, vigilantes were on the prowl seeking justice toward garishly costumed thieves operating on the payroll of large obesity generators, the Hamburglar for instance. The placement of a now politically-garnished gay parade left drunk and glammed up revellers open for bleeding of fresh morning bruises and gashes with handy glass shards nearby.
