Confusion Reigns The Return of The End

Ethan Switch - Thursday, March 6, 2003 - 07:19:46 - print it raw

Confusion is being used to round up bigger numbers in support of a religious outfit known as the Jesus Christians. With all that the centuries have brought upon the world known as Earth, many are looking for something or someone for guidance through their lives. Dispensing interpretations of Luke 17:20 - 18:8 and Luke 21:1-36 the 8 page comic seeks to create a heightened state of confusion in the reader. The passerby is kindly given a copy—money need not exchange hands—to which they can take and read at home or on the way to.

The comics themselves employ a variety of mechanisms used in the stunning of their targeted audience.

Dual colouring: outer pages use magenta ink while the interior fold uses an as yet undetermined grade of green.

Jesus Crisis: Jesus Christ is depicted as being placid in one panel and raging with ire in the next, possibly hinting at wild mood fluctuations.

Chapter ordinance: "Signs of the End" (pages 34 to 37) appears before "The Return of Jesus" (pages 20 to 23)

Biblical footnotes: while fine as part of filler for movie and television scripts—often used to create a sense of foreboding or power—the grammar used can be quite distressing and certainly confusing.

Be extra wary on the lookout due to their sporadic dispersal. They contain contact information for those looking to enjoy reading up on "Armageddon for Beginners." There are many rivers to cross, and just as many streets. And to those streets the young will envelop with much zeal and time off.

Articles and all that more wordy stuff

Where in Kentucky - Mammoth Cave National Park
Monstrously, and seemingly neverending, sitting under the home ground of Colonel Sanders, the world's largest cave system. Yucatan comes nowhere close. Not even Cocklebiddy poses a threat. No comparison. Small holes looking up at a big fat long one. Sadly, with possible age and lack of food, no minotaurs to be found within the lime walls.
Homebrew Diary - Wheatbeer of misery
If what can turn a foul mood around becomes the harbinger of the foul mood, what happens next? Turn it into a learning experience. And when that learning curve makes a late break over the plate, you'd better start to swing away.
Homebrew Diary - Blackrock IPA + Hops
It doesn't take a big man to admit that he drinks. It takes a big man to get wasted and perform impromptu sermons naked from a balcony; raving upon the ravages of the insanity of stata bylaws and noisy offspring in adjoining arpartments...
